Curtin Malaysia Teaching Support Fund (CMTS)

Curtin Malaysia Teaching Support Fund 2023 – Round 1

The Office of Learning and Teaching is announcing a new fund, the Curtin Malaysia Teaching Support Fund (CMTS). This year, the CMTS will be open for two rounds, with Round 2 to be announced at a later date.

The purpose of CMTS is to encourage academic staff to implement technologies, pedagogical techniques or other innovations which support their teaching activities, particularly in units with lower passing rates, or a high number of repeating students, or traditionally complex or difficult units. The CMTS is intended to support the learning and teaching of these units, so that students perform better, and/or have a better learning experience. The fund may be used for the academic staff’s innovation with new instructional techniques, create experiential learning opportunities such as site visits for the students, or the usage of technology (hardware/software) in their teaching activities in these units, among other purposes.

The CMTS fund is up to a maximum of RM1,500; and will run for the maximum duration of two semesters (within the calendar year). The submission deadline will be before or on 10 February 2023, Friday. All submissions should be sent to Ms. Tayah Munggang at tayah.m@curtin.edu.my.
