Peer Review of Education Practice (PREP) Review

PREP (Peer Review of Education Practice) is aimed at promoting excellence, enhancing and assuring teaching quality, and aligning educational practice with the strategic imperatives of accreditation and regulatory bodies.

PREP allows for the examination of a wider spectrum of activities associated with learning and teaching, as would be expected in the higher education context. The focus of peer review can be very broad and relate to any aspect of an individual’s educational practice.

Peer Reviews are measured against the Teaching Capabilities and carried out by trained and accredited staff who are familiar with Curtin’s Academic Capability Framework, and the associated skills and attributes. A PREP is required for all academic staff at least once every three years.
